Timmons Votes No on $1.2 Trillion Infrastructure Spending Bill

Congressman William Timmons (SC-04) released the following statement on his vote against part one of the Democrats’ tax and spending spree.

“I have long said that America needs targeted investments in our roads, bridges, highways, and especially to expand rural broadband in order to remain competitive in the global economy, and I continue to believe that is the case. Unfortunately, today’s ‘infrastructure’ bill was nothing of the sort. No matter what Democrats name it or how they split it, this bill—and the associated ‘social infrastructure’ bill—are the two major pillars of Biden’s tax and spend agenda that will cost Americans trillions of dollars. A vote for this bill is a vote for Biden and the Democrats’ Socialist spending spree. I will not be a part of it.”
