Congressman William Timmons (SC-04) released the following statement after being selected by Chairman James Comer (R-KY) as chairman of the Military and Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. This prestigious leadership role reflects Congressman Timmons’ unwavering commitment to strengthening national security, supporting our armed forces, and advancing America’s position on the global stage.

In his new role, Congressman Timmons will lead oversight of the national security apparatus and work with the Trump administration to end the worst border crisis in history. As Chairman, he will work closely with colleagues on both sides of the aisle to address emerging threats, enhance the readiness of the U.S. military, and ensure the effective implementation of foreign policy objectives.
