Greenville, SC — Today, the U.S. Air Force’s F-16 System Program Office within the Fighters and Advanced Aircraft Directorate announced a $900 million F-16 Continental United States (CONUS) Depot contract to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics. Under this contract, the Lockheed Martin Greenville Operations facility located in Greenville, S.C. will become the first-ever F-16 industry depot in the United States. Congressman William Timmons (SC-04) released the following statement. 

“We are thrilled the Air Force has chosen Lockheed Martin Greenville for their F-16 Depot Overflow program,” said Rep. William Timmons (SC-04). “Lockheed Martin’s Greenville site will now both produce and maintain F-16s. This 10-year contract is expected to place 15 F-16s at the site each year for substantial maintenance work, adding 50-80 new jobs in support of this program. I was proud to support Lockheed Martin’s efforts in securing this contract along with the rest of the South Carolina congressional delegation. We are grateful to the Air Force for awarding this contract today, and we look forward to Greenville becoming the Center of Excellence for the F-16 Fighting Falcon.”
