Congressman William Timmons (SC-04) released the following statement after voting against H. Res. 1061 - Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024: “Washington’s spending addiction is why our nation is currently $34 trillion in debt. Our appropriations process is fundamentally broken, and the bill before us today is just more of the same bloated spending that we simply cannot afford. South Carolinians do not want more of the same—and that is why I voted no today and have consistently voted against continuing resolutions and spending packages that do nothing to get our fiscal house in order.” |
